Woo-hoo!! Sandie Vanosdall of The Sweetheart Tree will be teaching for Stitcher’s Hideaway for the very first time and I am SO excited to have this fantastic designer coming to New England!! Visit all the links below to read about Sandie and to see the two gorgeous projects she designed for us!
The November Stitcher’s Hideaway has traditionally been one with pre-Christmas fun and so we will continue that tradition with a Christmas Ornament Exchange. Those that want to participate bring a gift-wrapped, stitched ornament. We draw numbers and one by one pick a gift to take home. We also have a Christmas cookie exchange where all those that would like to participate bring cookies to swap with others. For the past two years I’ve brought my cookies home and frozen them until Christmas day. It’s great and saves me a lot of baking!
Stitcher’s Hideaway retreats are very casual and relaxed gatherings. You can stitch in your jeans -- or stitch in your pajamas -- it’s all good!! We are all in class together and eat our meals together, too. If you come by yourself, you’ll quickly find new stitching friends. We learn a lot from each other as well as our instructor. Come ready to have a great time!
Oh! And Chris & Pam from Chris’s Collection will be on hand to provide us fantastic stash enhancement opportunities!! Wheeeeee!!!
Mystic is a wonderful family vacation area and a great place to do your Christmas shopping! We’ll be right near the Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mystic Village with its 60+ unique shops and restaurants.
